U.S. consumer spending during post-pandemic life



Vesta conducted a survey focused on detailing U.S. consumer spending during post-pandemic life. Nearly half (49%) of respondents spent more than $250 on non-essential items last month and 63% intend to spend at least $100 on non-essential items this month.

Apparel is driving the most spending, with 69% of respondents having made an apparel purchase last month and 54% intending to purchase clothing next month. This was followed by restaurant dining, with 58% of respondents having dined out last month and 36% planning to do the same next month. Electronics rounded out the highest spending categories, with 53% of respondents having bought an electronic device last month and 41% planning to purchase one next month.
