Forter Global Fraud Attack Index

Forter's Global Fraud Attack Index measures changes in attempted fraud on U.S. merchant websites, quantifying the potential cost of fraud -- if left unchecked -- to merchants. The survey report looks at online fraud attacks and rates for both domestic (U.S.) and international (non-U.S.) transactions, based on attack amounts and how these amounts are trending over time. Quarterly data on domestic and international fraud attacks is also presented; industries featured are apparel, luxury goods, digital goods, travel & hospitality, and food deliveries. Finally, methods of attack and their relative share are examined, with a particular focus on account takeovers and botnets.
