Fraud in Gaming -- Disrupting the Bad in the Good!

Sony Interactive Entertainment shared insights on seven fraud attack models at MRC San Diego, with a special focus on hostile fraud using virtual currency. The complexity of the PlayStation ecosystem was also examined. Next, Sony discussed the prism through which they developed their fraud strategy, such as the role of product mix on risk mitigation. The presentation closes with a comparison of force controls and velocity controls on fraud, plus suggested means of developing strategies for different attack types.
