As eCommerce and mobile commerce in particular evolve, an increasing number of companies are making the payment process so seamless that it is practically an "invisible" part of checkout. It remains to be seen, though, whether the rise of invisible payments means an increase in purchase dissonance, or buyer's remorse, and the impact this will have on friendly fraud chargebacks and disputes. These topics are explored in this presentation, and three recommendations to avoid unintended consequences are highlighted.
