For years European nations had different standards, business practices, and legal frameworks for processing payments. The goal of SEPA, the Single Euro Payments Area, is to create an integrated payments environment with common standards and business practices so that all intra-European EUR credit transfers, direct debits, and card payments are domestic payments. In addition to the timetable, a snapshot of the migration status is included, along with information on how change requests are handled.
